Hotels close to the venue tend to be more expenseive than hotels a few miles away. If you have a vehicle, we recommend getting a hotel in the area and driving in.

Parking¶
While at PyTexas you may park in the Austin Public Library parking garage while space is available. This is a public parking garage and you will have to pay. You can find the rates here.
The event will be starting before the library is open. Be sure to use the South Elevator or stairs to Cesar Chavez to access the venue.

Network Event¶
Our Network Event will take place on the Rooftop Garden (6th Floor) of the Austin Central Public Library from 6:30pm - 9:00pm Saturday, April 18 following the events of the day. Enjoy food and drink and mingle with other attendees. Food and beverage will be provided.
After Library Hours Access
The Roof Garden is located on the 6th Floor of the Central Library. Guests will have access via the 2nd St. entrance ONLY, located between the café and Recycled Reads Gift Shop. Access to the 6th Floor is available via elevators in the main Lobby. The atrium stairs are not available for use, and all other floors will be closed.
2026 Health and Safety Guidelines¶
Our attendees' health and safety remain our top priority.
Masking and Vaccinations Recommended¶
The PyTexas team encourages everyone in attendance to be up to date with their necessary vaccinations.
Harassing anyone for their decision regarding masking will be considered a violation of our Physical Spaces Code of Conduct and will result in appropriate action.
Attendance¶
Individuals should not attend the event if they are feeling ill, have a fever, or are exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
If you are feeling sick or exhibiting symptoms of an illness, prior to the start of the conference, or on any day of the conference, please contact us at [email protected], and we will exchange your ticket type for an online ticket or grant you a refund.
Travel¶
Anyone traveling to the event should read and abide by the CDC's Travel Guidelines for domestic and international travel. We ask that participants respect fellow attendees and do everything possible to ensure an environment that is as safe as possible.
